Composite Decks

Trex The manufacturer of the most popular man-made decking products:

Trex Accents and Contours – The original composite board available in a variety of colors. It’s a blend of 50% recycled hardwood and 50% recycled plastic (things like milk cartons etc.)
Trex Transcends – They took the design of their original “composite” board and added a PVC shell to the top and sides. The shell has a nice woodgrain that channels water off more efficiently and it also addressed the issue of mold spores forming when it was installed in damp areas. 3 years in the market place and has received only positive reviews from our customers
Trex Escapes – A 100% cellular PVC deck board that contains no wood fibers. Great reviews here also.
Azek The longest running manufacturer of 100% cellular PVC decking. It’s light weight, doesn’t fade and comes in an abundance of color choices. Some of the colors are sold at a premium price but everything gets great reviews. No mold issues. No color fade issues
Lumberock (composite) Lumberock (composite)– This is a blend of PVC and minerals instead of wood. It doesn’t absorb moisture or generate any mold spores. The decking can be installed with either a smooth or woodgrain surface. It also has an abundance of color choices.

There are many other brands that are available that have their own individual plusses and minuses. We’ve worked with most of them and can truly say that the 3 mentioned above have been the best performers.
