This project in Algonquin focused on creating a low-maintenance outdoor space that would require no future staining and improve the homeowner’s lifestyle. The homeowners wanted a fresh surface for their large deck and had a specific request for a dedicated grilling area.
The existing deck was resurfaced using Trex Lineage decking paired with Trex Transcend railing for long-lasting performance with minimal upkeep. A custom-built Lumber Rock pergola was added over the grill station, complete with post lighting to make evening cooking easier. A built-in bench provides extra seating while creating a visual and physical barrier at the edge of the deck, helping to separate it from nearby vegetation.
This reimagined outdoor space now offers greater comfort, better usability, and enhanced lighting for nighttime enjoyment, all while reducing the maintenance burden for the homeowners.
